Congratulations to Cora-Maude and Brooke for performing 'Hat Tricks' over the weekend.

Grant Home Hardware Puckhounds hold their own!
Nov. 6-7-8/09 North Bay Blue Sky Girls Hockey Tournament
GHH Puckhounds headed south for the weekend to play some hockey against the girls and they proved they can hold their own when playing their own kind. First game against Sudbury was a 0-0 tie. Goalie, Brittany H., showed her stuff with some fantastic saves! The Puckhounds achieved their first win of the season with a 3-2 win against Kapuskasing in their second game of the tourny. Taylor got the first goal for the team, followed by Kayleigh and Cora-Maude.

With the first two games under their belts on Friday, the girls were ready for some team building at the hotel Friday night. New members quickly fit in and the girls were swimming, doing groceries, running the halls, facebooking and even worked on a few science experiments.

Saturday's game brought the girls face to face with the Kapuskasing team beating them once again with a 1-0 win. Brooke scored the only goal for the game bringing us to the Semi-Final game on Sunday.

The Puckhounds skated onto the ice with their game faces on, but forgot to put their sticks down as their opponents scored the first goal only 37 seconds into the game against North Bay. But the girls quickly remembered Coach Cory's pep talks and held on until the 3rd period when North Bay snuck in another goal knocking the girls out of the tournament with a 2-0 win. Puckhound parents and spectators were on their feet most of the game for some exciting girls hockey. Good job girls!
